Adivasi rights, heritage and nature
Adivasi communities
Warli, Kokna, Dhodia and other Scheduled Tribe communities are central to Dadra and Nagar Haveli’s history. Land, forest access, cultural expression and representation require statutory and community-specific evidence.
Portuguese-era heritage
Diu Fort, Moti Daman Fort, churches and urban precincts preserve distinct colonial histories. Monument protection, living worship and tourism use must be sourced separately.
Coast and river
The Daman Ganga basin, Diu’s coast, beaches, wetlands and forest tracts face different water, erosion, pollution and habitat pressures. Blue Flag certification is not a general ecological rating.
Labour and urbanisation
Industrial growth brought large migrant workforces and rapid density change, especially in Daman and Silvassa. Census residence, workplace population and labour-registration data answer different questions.
Audits and public accountability
CAG Union Territory reports, parliamentary papers and Administration disclosures are tied to audited periods. Industrial regulation, land, municipal services, environment, tourism and procurement require document-level evidence.
Political allegation, audit observation, inquiry, charge, judgment and appeal remain separate statuses.
