Information is used only for the stated account, moderation, contribution, security and learning functions. The project does not sell personal information or use it for behavioural advertising.
A display name and approved contribution may become public. Telephone numbers, authentication data, account email addresses and private application contact details must not be published. Users should never submit Aadhaar, passports, home addresses, bank details or other sensitive identity documents.
The public site is hosted through GitLab Pages and account/database services are provided by Supabase. Their infrastructure may process information outside the user’s country. Providers process data under their own security and contractual arrangements.
Account and contribution information is retained while needed to operate the account, preserve the public archive, resolve disputes, prevent abuse or meet legal obligations. Private information should be deleted or de-identified when no longer necessary. Browser-local saved reads can be cleared through the browser.
To make a request, sign in and use the website’s correction-submission route. Begin the summary with PRIVACY REQUEST, identify the requested action, and do not include identity documents or sensitive personal data. Reasonable account verification may be required before acting.
Account and submission features are intended for people aged 18 or over. Visitors under 18 may read the public archive but must not create an account or submit personal information.
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used, including Supabase authentication and row-level database controls. No internet service can promise absolute security. A material privacy incident will be assessed and notified where applicable law requires.
This notice is informed by India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and Rules, and New Zealand’s Privacy Act principles. Which law applies can depend on the operator, user, processing activity and commencement provisions.
