Boundary rule: Chhattisgarh was created from Madhya Pradesh on 1 November 2000. Pre-2000 Census, economic and election figures describe undivided Madhya Pradesh unless a competent source reconstructs the present State area.

Bastar Dussehra, tribal arts and living traditions require community and State-culture sources; cultural importance is not converted into an unsupported statutory designation.
Four tiger reserves
NTCA lists Achanakmar, Indravati, Udanti-Sitanadi and Guru Ghasidas–Tamor Pingla. The last was notified in 2024; all four retain separate core, buffer and legal records.
Designation rule
National park, wildlife sanctuary, tiger reserve, biosphere reserve, Ramsar wetland, ASI monument and UNESCO property are distinct labels. Sensitive wildlife locations are never published.
